A landmark inn that has hosted visitors for a generation has been sold by the founders to a pair of new owners who plan to build on the rich heritage of providing friendly lodging in this New Hampshire town.Victor and Barbara Mangini have sold the Greenfield Inn Bed & Breakfast in Greenfield, NH to Kenneth Tetreault and John Jordan of Palmer Mass. The Manginis have run the B&B successfully since they started the business in 1986, and have now retired.The Inn is a quintessential New England B&B in the Monadnock Region and near the Crotched Mountain State Park and Crotched Mountain Hospital. The new owners will be continuing and revitalizing the business and plan several renovations to the property. They will continue to operate under the same name and phone numbers.This is a career change for both Ken and John, and owning an inn has been a goal for some time. Community Living for the Elderly, LLC. a licensed 15-bed residential care facility for the elderly located on 22 Mays Way, has been sold by Miklos Toth and Carol Jaworski to Tamworth Community Living, Inc.

The sale, completed effective July 1, makes Community Living for the Elderly part of a family of several similar facilities operating in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

The transaction was brokered by New Hampshire Business Sales based in Pembroke. Financing was provided by Wells Fargo. Dr. Didier Watsop will operate Community Living for the Elderly as well as the group’s other assisted living facilities. Dr. Watsop looks forward to preserving the good reputation that Community Living for the Elderly has had for more than two decades of service.

Miklos Toth and Carol Jaworski successfully operated the home for over 9 years, noted Gilbert Oriol, Business Intermediary who coordinated the sale along with John Howe, co-owner of NHBS.

Nancy and Ed Adams have sold the Hancock Market on Main Street to Jarvis and Marcia Coffin, owners of the Hancock Inn located across the street from the store, according to New Hampshire Business Sales, which coordinated the transfer.

The Coffin’s stated intention in buying the Market is to continue to build on the great business base that the Adams’ have built up over the last five years since they bought the building at auction, rehabilitated it and regenerated a thriving local marketplace.

Broker Leon M. Parker, CBI represented Nancy and Ed and assisted the Coffin’s in the transaction. Financing was arranged by Paul Faber of Lake Sunapee Bank. “This is a true country store of the kind that used to dot the landscape,” Parker said. “It is great to see it continue through a change in ownership.”
